THE ANTI-MATTER BOMB

Probably all of us know that..at the very start of it all..our Universe has the same amount of matter and Antimatter in its bag...but later..due to some unknown and extremely complex asymmetric condition..matter got the upper hand over its anti counterpart and engineered the Universe that we see today..

But that was just the tip of the iceberg..because creating a compact weapon out of anti-matter is a whole different ball game !!!

Antimatter is created in our sweet and sour Universe naturally, wherever there are high-energy particle collisions. But antimatter can also be created in the laboratory, in particle accelerators. Antimatter is powerful. Even a tiny amount would create a devastating explosion. Just a kilogram of antimatter would release the same amount of energy as a 20 megaton thermonuclear bomb.

But here’s the cache. Generating antimatter is an incredibly expensive process. It’s been estimated that if you took all of the antimatter ever created in all the Particle accelerator in the world, you would only have enough to power a light bulb for a few minutes. 

To create antimatter on an industrial scale would require the collective resources of the entire planet. Furthermore, there’s no easy way to store antimatter once you create it, since it will explode with even the slightest touch with regular matter.

So..I think..all of us in our planet can rest in peace..because an anti-matter bomb will be a stuff of Science fiction for the time being..and to be honest it is not a technological issue that we can improve upon in the next 100 or 200 years time-frame..rather it’s a complete Chemical paradox..the solution of which will perhaps be never found..

But who knows..It can be you or any of your successor..whom we shall be crediting around as the inventor of anti-matter bomb in future..and shall raise to the level of J. Robert Oppenheimer..!!!
